The Indian Submariner is an autonomously run website that is not linked with any official or government agency. The information given in this site is from open sources and the site does not include any classified material. Nothing in this site is to be considered as representing the views of the Indian Navy or the Government. All views expressed are those of the contributors in their personal capacity.
Background
The site was started about four years ago with the support of the Indian Veteran Submariners League and owes its origin and early success to the initiative and imagination of Ms Archana Sardana, a young submariner’s wife.
The site is now managed by a team of retired submariners, and is currently in the process of reconstruction.
The aims and objectives of the Indian Submariner site are:
To provide a platform for veteran submariners to remain in touch and exchange views on matters of general and professional interest.
To sustain the comradeship and esprit de corps that is the defining characteristic of submarine service.
To provide a forum for conveying information and creating awareness about the Indian Navy’s Submarine Arm to the general public.
To provide a platform for social interaction between veteran submariners and their families.
Access to the Public
Visitors are welcome to the Indian Submariner site. All pages are open to them except the Members’ Section that is intended for interaction between Indian submarine veterans.
